Newbie Stripping Tips

AnnaSong05.jpgThe other day I was working in a club in New York City (ok, Brooklyn) and the girl next to me was dancing in front of a customer, practically taking nothing off, but saying "titties" and "boobies" and then blatantly asking the customer for more money. The customer felt intimidated and gave her more cash but it was obvious that he felt uncomfortable.
Where do girls get off treating customers like that?
I mean, customers should be treated with respect because they are paying their hard earned cash to enjoy some of the best female company. All day long they are beaten up by the rat race, and now they need to unwind. And with all the entertainment options out there (TV, DVDS, movies, sports), they chose you. So you should be grateful and treat stripping as the art form that it is.
So, how should you treat a customer?
The easiest thing you can do is smile and listen. Yes, it is that simple but so few girls do it!

The second is something that is too easily forgotten in the strip clubs today—the art of seduction, of sensuality versus sex. Now, I'm not saying keep your clothes on, but instead of just bouncing to the music, a hand slowly working around your breast, a finger that traces the outline of your areola. . . sensual moves that should be added to your repertoire. Trust me, all that flash might make you fast cash, but it is the erotic aspect that keeps the customers coming back!

Dakota Kelly

DakotaKelly02.jpg

Dakota Kelly's Stats:
Measurements: 56JJ-24-36
Height: 5' 4"
Birthday: April 4
Home Town: Sweetwater, Texas

Having been a club goer for most of my adult life, I've learned to have a healthy admiration for the feature dancer. The reality is that they have a difficult life. Life on the road can take its toll, physically and mentally. The traveling. The lugging of luggage. The competition. Constantly being on guard against crooks and schemers. Dealing with people who don't give a shit about them. Staying in shape. It's tough. It's even tougher for the bigger than big busted dancers. When they're out in public, they often have to deal with comments and cracks from strangers. People stare at them. Other women are nasty. They wear bulky tops to mask the size of their huge breasts. Driving a car--handling the steering wheel--is trickier. Think about it.

Most of us work in one place. We sleep in our own beds at night and have weekends off. Our paychecks are steady. We take this for granted. Features can't. They also know that stardom is only for a relatively short time. Their name on a marquee is written in sand. Eventually, the tide will wipe it smooth. And so it goes. This is my homage to Dakota Kelly, whose perfectly round ass I deeply adore. And for you, there are these pics.

Becoming a Stripper

tnAngelEyes.jpg"This site is a nonprofit resource for those women who have already decided that they would like to earn a living as a stripper. I'm not going to get into the pluses and minuses of the profession. There are a great deal of misconceptions out there about strippers and that is something you will have to deal with if you enter the profession. I will say this- I truly enjoy what I do and I have never felt exploited because I'm a stripper. In fact I have always felt it was far more personally empowering than any other profession. But it's not for everyone. It requires a certain temperament. Don't go and become a stripper because you feel you "have" to. If you hate what you do it WILL show and you will make very little money."

With this introduction, Kiko Wu has created an useful site at http://www.stripper-faq.org/ that is a must check to anyone thinking on getting involved in this profession. Her personal and vast experience outlines the pluses and minuses of this career and establishes valuable advice... More.

Kiko Wu informs about every single aspect on how to become a stripper. Finances, resources, dancing schools, tips and tricks and more.

"Other than your body, which we'll get into later, the tools of the trade are clothing, makeup, and shoes. In dancing, as with any other trade, it never pays to buy cheap tools-they don't work well, they break and you'll just have to replace them anyway.

tnAngelEyes02.jpgHeels are your first purchase. Minimum height is 3 inches- anything shorter and your gut will stick out and your legs will look like tree trunks. Look for a shoe with a plastic one-piece sole and heel. Shoes with the leather and wood heels are much more elegant but after the second night of dancing on them the heels tend to flex too much and put a lot of stress on your knees and back. Open toes tend to be more comfortable but if you're going to wear them you have to make sure your toenails are painted and trimmed. Putting no-slip rubber pads on the bottom of the shoe is a good idea- it prevents embarrassing falls on slippery stages."

ON MONEY, she says "So what kind of money will you be making? If you're dancing for shift pay in a blue collar "titty bar" you'll make about $150 a night. A go-go or "cage" dancer at a regular nightclub might make $200 a night but she'll be dancing almost all night. Some girls might prefer that- you don't have to work for tips or talk to the guys. A girl dancing for tips and drink commission in a nude club makes between $200 to $600. A pretty, well-spoken girl who knows the business will make between $400 to $800 at a topless "gown" club. (Gown club refers to a club like TENS were the girls wear gowns and the clientele is more upscale). A feature dancer whose done some magazine and movie work might make $1500 a night."

Strippers As Sex Symbols

How this came about?
When and where did it started?

We need not look at a long time ago. Striptease, the combustible mixture of sexual display, cool eros and irreverent humor was born less than a century ago, as we know it today. From its nineteenth century vaudeville roots, through its controversial career to its decline during the flower power of the 60's, nothing describes better american popular entertainment.

It had its golden age, between the Jazz time and the sexual revolution period, when strippers would perform around the country in burlesque theaters, nightclubs, vaudeville houses and even privately.

Flamboyant impresarios, tight-laced political pundits, shimmy girls, cootch dancers and would-be showgirls, all this universe had this one undressing fervor in common. They were all lured into this profession by big-city aspirations and dreams of fame and fortune. We hope to recreate this once seductive art form in the following pages and raise consciousness about the life of nude dancers, male strippers and exotic showgirls.

Enjoy!
