Newbie Stripping Tips
The other day I was working in a club in New York City (ok, Brooklyn) and the girl next to me was dancing in front of a customer, practically taking nothing off, but saying "titties" and "boobies" and then blatantly asking the customer for more money. The customer felt intimidated and gave her more cash but it was obvious that he felt uncomfortable.
Where do girls get off treating customers like that?
I mean, customers should be treated with respect because they are paying their hard earned cash to enjoy some of the best female company. All day long they are beaten up by the rat race, and now they need to unwind. And with all the entertainment options out there (TV, DVDS, movies, sports), they chose you. So you should be grateful and treat stripping as the art form that it is.
So, how should you treat a customer?
The easiest thing you can do is smile and listen. Yes, it is that simple but so few girls do it!
The second is something that is too easily forgotten in the strip clubs today—the art of seduction, of sensuality versus sex. Now, I'm not saying keep your clothes on, but instead of just bouncing to the music, a hand slowly working around your breast, a finger that traces the outline of your areola. . . sensual moves that should be added to your repertoire. Trust me, all that flash might make you fast cash, but it is the erotic aspect that keeps the customers coming back!

Nude Dancing Hit Again in Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nude dancing clubs that do not serve alcohol have sued the City of Jacksonville on constitutional claims in Federal Court, according to a court reporting service.
The Jacksonville Property Rights Association, whose members include Sinstation and The Doll House, claimed that a city ordinance that requires them to be licensed is an unconstitutional and an illegal abridgement of expression, according to the report.
The news service said the group also challenges city zoning and taxes, which it claims are attempts to drive them out of business.
Plaintiffs claim that nude dancing conveys an important message of eroticism, body acceptance, and sexual freedom, the news service reported.

Male Desire And Strippers
G-Strings and Sympathy: Strip Club Regulars and Male Desire.
Not to make it sound too serious but we found this book on amazon about why men keep hitting strip clubs.
As one reader pointed out "...while this is obviously adapted from academic material, Frank uses her experience as an exotic dancer to dig into the question of why men frequent strip clubs."
Did she answer the question? From reading the different editorials...
we suspect she hasn't.
Even a major review shows some reservations "...Her research is sound-she works in a variety of clubs to get a full picture of the experience-and she documents her research exhaustively, with 25 pages of footnotes and a 14-page bibliography, in addition to extensive verbatim quotes from her subjects. Unfortunately, this rigorous approach has robbed her thesis of its inherent bathos and humanity, resulting in a tedious, laborious read weighed down with academic jargon. She also includes some of her own fiction, which does not enhance the reading pleasure."
Her conclusions are not new. She ends the book with the clear vision that even though upsetting to wives and girlfriends men keep visiting titties bars. Nothing new here.
Some would have wished instead of a quest for the ultimate stripclub relevation, that she had included more bare pink...
The book can be purchased here
Good reading!

Cabaret Concerns In Missouri
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - In a flurry of late-night deal making, the majority of the anti-adult business provisions of House Bill (HB) 353 were written into HB 972, "Intoxication-Related Traffic Offenses," by the state Senate, which it then passed just before midnight Thursday. Then the revised bill was sent back to the House, which passed that amended bill just after noon today.
"We got so screwed by so many people that made promises that didn't keep them," reported Nellie Symm-Gruender, a Missouri retailer and part of the adult industry lobbying team that was tracking the legislation, which first saw life as Senate Bill 32.
"They stripped it off of 353 because all the prosecutors were very nervous about having this on a crime bill because of something we have in Missouri called the Hammerschmidt decision," Symm-Gruender continued, "and Hammerschmidt basically says, if an amendment is not germane to the subject of the bill, it can be overturned. So what happened last night, he attached it to a DUI bill."
The "he" is state Sen. Matt Bartle, who has led an unwavering anti-adult campaign since he first introduced SB 32 in February.
While the anti-adult provisions of HB 972 are not quite as bad as the language in previous versions, it is reportedly still onerous enough that retailers and cabaret owners will almost certainly be challenging it in court.
Unfortunately, the text of HB 972 is not yet available, so the information which follows is subject to correction when the final copy of the bill is in hand.
"There were two provisions removed from HB 972," said Travis Brown, partner in the lobbying firm of Gaines Brown Consulting LLC, which has been retained by several adult businesspersons to work on the legislation. "Sec. 67.2540 of HB 353, all the definitions, that was left in, and also the majority of Sec. 67.2552, except they took out the tipping provision in item 3, and item 6, the hours of operation limitation. Other than that, I think it was pretty much the same."
The language in HB 353 which has been stricken from HB 972 is:
"3. It shall be a class A misdemeanor for an employee, while semi-nude in a sexually-oriented business, to solicit any pay or gratuity from any patron or customer or for any patron or customer to pay or give any gratuity to any employee, while said employee is semi-nude in a sexually-oriented business."
And, "6. No sexually-oriented business may remain open at any time between the hours of midnight and ten a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. Such businesses shall be closed on all official state or federal holidays and Sundays."
"Also, under the Senate substitute originally proposed by Sen. Bartle, there was a Sec. 311.488, which is the liquor law of the state of Missouri," Brown continued. "That would have said, 'The Supervisor of the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control shall not issue a license to sell intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating beer to a sexually oriented business as defined by 67.2540.' So they were trying to take away the cabarets' liquor licenses, and we were very concerned about that for obvious reasons. That did not make it; it was stripped out in the conference committee report of HB 353, and also was not in the version of HB 972 that was passed."
Cabarets still face plenty of problems under HB 972, however, including the requirement that nude and semi-nude employees must remain at all times at least 10 feet from customers, and on a stage two feet high, behind a two-foot high railing. How the dancers are supposed to collect tips from that position is currently unknown.
"The cabaret owners who were there were pretty upset, said it was going to kill them, destroy them," said Symm-Gruender. "It's going to be really difficult for them."

Florida Strip Clubs
Police Raids Target Florida Strip Clubs
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police arrested eight dancers and cited 56 others for showing too much flesh during raids or six exotic dance clubs that serve alcohol in the area, according to a published report.
A city ordinance says dancers must fully cover butts as well as breasts from the nipple down, The Florida Times-Union reported. The law does not apply to juice bars.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ken Jefferson said clubs are raided regularly to ensure regulations are followed. Caesar’s Gentlemen’s Club manager Joe Serafini said it’s not unusual for police to come in, turn on the lights and then send patrons out – effectively shutting down the club for several hours while tickets are given out, the report said.
“And they’d do it even if the woman were wearing granny underwear,” he told the newspaper. “We just tell the dancers to comply and give all the information the police ask for. There’s no point in fighting it that night.”
The city ordinance is being challenged by some of the clubs, who say the dancers should be allowed to wear just pasties and G-strings.

Becoming a Stripper
"This site is a nonprofit resource for those women who have already decided that they would like to earn a living as a stripper. I'm not going to get into the pluses and minuses of the profession. There are a great deal of misconceptions out there about strippers and that is something you will have to deal with if you enter the profession. I will say this- I truly enjoy what I do and I have never felt exploited because I'm a stripper. In fact I have always felt it was far more personally empowering than any other profession. But it's not for everyone. It requires a certain temperament. Don't go and become a stripper because you feel you "have" to. If you hate what you do it WILL show and you will make very little money."
With this introduction, Kiko Wu has created an useful site at http://www.stripper-faq.org/ that is a must check to anyone thinking on getting involved in this profession. Her personal and vast experience outlines the pluses and minuses of this career and establishes valuable advice... More.
Kiko Wu informs about every single aspect on how to become a stripper. Finances, resources, dancing schools, tips and tricks and more.
"Other than your body, which we'll get into later, the tools of the trade are clothing, makeup, and shoes. In dancing, as with any other trade, it never pays to buy cheap tools-they don't work well, they break and you'll just have to replace them anyway.
Heels are your first purchase. Minimum height is 3 inches- anything shorter and your gut will stick out and your legs will look like tree trunks. Look for a shoe with a plastic one-piece sole and heel. Shoes with the leather and wood heels are much more elegant but after the second night of dancing on them the heels tend to flex too much and put a lot of stress on your knees and back. Open toes tend to be more comfortable but if you're going to wear them you have to make sure your toenails are painted and trimmed. Putting no-slip rubber pads on the bottom of the shoe is a good idea- it prevents embarrassing falls on slippery stages."
ON MONEY, she says "So what kind of money will you be making? If you're dancing for shift pay in a blue collar "titty bar" you'll make about $150 a night. A go-go or "cage" dancer at a regular nightclub might make $200 a night but she'll be dancing almost all night. Some girls might prefer that- you don't have to work for tips or talk to the guys. A girl dancing for tips and drink commission in a nude club makes between $200 to $600. A pretty, well-spoken girl who knows the business will make between $400 to $800 at a topless "gown" club. (Gown club refers to a club like TENS were the girls wear gowns and the clientele is more upscale). A feature dancer whose done some magazine and movie work might make $1500 a night."
