Adult Video Stores Under Attack

Under a 1988 Florida law, “it is unlawful for a person to sell at retail, rent to another, attempt to sell at retail, or attempt to rent to another, a video movie in this state unless the official rating or the motion picture from which it is copied is clearly displayed on the outside of its cassette, case, jacket, or other covering.”

In a recent raid at XMart Adult Supercenter, police seized approximately 20,000 adult DVDs claiming most if not all the videos lacked the legal rating. In a very honorable gesture, local authorities saved parents and adults shopping at the adult video store the emabarrasement that would have represented buying a triple X, triple anal, cum-swallowing film when the purchase was intended for only "Cheerleaders getting a first taste". No doubt this might have caused a retaliation of the most severe consequences against the owner of the store, who -how dares he- displays such a vast amount of uncatalogued porn.

Let's be clear. If someone is looking for the joy of youthfull butts and uncomitted vaginas there is really no room for "face-fucks", deep-anal-tonguing or any of that perverted activities. For Ron Jeremy's sake!

To prevent future raids, we have devised a rating system which we generously make public so that adult video store owners can display it on all their adult DVDs in their stores -where "no one under 18 is allowed and where one is prevented from entering if sexual content is found offensive".

1.- tongue in cheek (lesbi content)
2.- tongue in foot (some mild fetish)
3.- tongue in dick (mild oral nature)
4.- tongue in asshole (stronger than average)
5.- tongue dripping cum (now we talkin')

Stripclubs fireworks

If you are planning on a night of entertainment to pay respect to the ole bacchus and have in mind a visit to your local strip joint, watch out. Like in the airports, do not accept any baggages or boxes that is being handed at you, even by sexy panty-tight, fetishnet-dresses, sex-deprived lady. You could be for a surpise. If not an outright explosion in your balls...

A former strip club waitress was recently arrested in Boston for -apparently- mailing out condoms with an explosive mixture. We suspect she misunderstood some fella' comments about wanting to bang her. Check out the news and stay away from trouble!

Nude Dancing Hit Again in Florida

DixieBubbles15.jpg

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nude dancing clubs that do not serve alcohol have sued the City of Jacksonville on constitutional claims in Federal Court, according to a court reporting service.

The Jacksonville Property Rights Association, whose members include Sinstation and The Doll House, claimed that a city ordinance that requires them to be licensed is an unconstitutional and an illegal abridgement of expression, according to the report.

The news service said the group also challenges city zoning and taxes, which it claims are attempts to drive them out of business.

Plaintiffs claim that nude dancing conveys an important message of eroticism, body acceptance, and sexual freedom, the news service reported.

Naughty America

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Rick’s Cabaret-Charlotte, the new gentlemen’s club at 5300 Old Pineville Rd. that has been the focal point for protests by a religious group, has retaliated – using live music, burgers and bikini-clad car washers as its weapons.

"The religious group has brought its show to our parking lot, so we thought we’d even the score by putting on our own show for our customers,” said Eric Langan, CEO of Rick’s Cabaret International, Inc., a publicly traded company that runs the club. The music started at 6 p.m. Saturday."

Since the club had its grand opening on Thursday night, a group led by Rev. Flip Benham of Operation Save America has been staging noisy protests and using a bullhorn to ask patrons not to enter the club.

“Their antics sure don't seem to be slowing business down with hundreds of patrons enjoying the party inside Rick's since early Thursday night, but they are creating a nuisance,” Langan said. “Everybody is entitled to their opinions and to put on legal entertainment of their choice, and so are we. We just think girls washing cars in bikinis and great live music are lots more entertaining than somebody haranguing you with their personal religious views.”

Langan even debated one of the religious group's leaders for an hour on WBT radio on Friday. Ricks' response received plenty of local TV coverage and some positive public feedback.

Cabaret Concerns In Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - In a flurry of late-night deal making, the majority of the anti-adult business provisions of House Bill (HB) 353 were written into HB 972, "Intoxication-Related Traffic Offenses," by the state Senate, which it then passed just before midnight Thursday. Then the revised bill was sent back to the House, which passed that amended bill just after noon today.

"We got so screwed by so many people that made promises that didn't keep them," reported Nellie Symm-Gruender, a Missouri retailer and part of the adult industry lobbying team that was tracking the legislation, which first saw life as Senate Bill 32.

"They stripped it off of 353 because all the prosecutors were very nervous about having this on a crime bill because of something we have in Missouri called the Hammerschmidt decision," Symm-Gruender continued, "and Hammerschmidt basically says, if an amendment is not germane to the subject of the bill, it can be overturned. So what happened last night, he attached it to a DUI bill."

The "he" is state Sen. Matt Bartle, who has led an unwavering anti-adult campaign since he first introduced SB 32 in February.

While the anti-adult provisions of HB 972 are not quite as bad as the language in previous versions, it is reportedly still onerous enough that retailers and cabaret owners will almost certainly be challenging it in court.

Unfortunately, the text of HB 972 is not yet available, so the information which follows is subject to correction when the final copy of the bill is in hand.

"There were two provisions removed from HB 972," said Travis Brown, partner in the lobbying firm of Gaines Brown Consulting LLC, which has been retained by several adult businesspersons to work on the legislation. "Sec. 67.2540 of HB 353, all the definitions, that was left in, and also the majority of Sec. 67.2552, except they took out the tipping provision in item 3, and item 6, the hours of operation limitation. Other than that, I think it was pretty much the same."

The language in HB 353 which has been stricken from HB 972 is:

"3. It shall be a class A misdemeanor for an employee, while semi-nude in a sexually-oriented business, to solicit any pay or gratuity from any patron or customer or for any patron or customer to pay or give any gratuity to any employee, while said employee is semi-nude in a sexually-oriented business."

And, "6. No sexually-oriented business may remain open at any time between the hours of midnight and ten a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. Such businesses shall be closed on all official state or federal holidays and Sundays."

"Also, under the Senate substitute originally proposed by Sen. Bartle, there was a Sec. 311.488, which is the liquor law of the state of Missouri," Brown continued. "That would have said, 'The Supervisor of the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control shall not issue a license to sell intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating beer to a sexually oriented business as defined by 67.2540.' So they were trying to take away the cabarets' liquor licenses, and we were very concerned about that for obvious reasons. That did not make it; it was stripped out in the conference committee report of HB 353, and also was not in the version of HB 972 that was passed."

Cabarets still face plenty of problems under HB 972, however, including the requirement that nude and semi-nude employees must remain at all times at least 10 feet from customers, and on a stage two feet high, behind a two-foot high railing. How the dancers are supposed to collect tips from that position is currently unknown.

"The cabaret owners who were there were pretty upset, said it was going to kill them, destroy them," said Symm-Gruender. "It's going to be really difficult for them."
